Meet Betsy Ezell, LPC
I believe meaningful change happens in the context of safety, connection, and understanding. My work is grounded in warmth, clinical expertise, and deep respect for each person’s unique story. Whether you (or your teenager) are navigating anxiety, emotional distress, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the lingering impact of past experiences, therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening internally, and move forward with greater functioning, clarity and intention.
My approach
My style is collaborative, attuned, and personalized. I draw from evidence-based practices including EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), attachment-informed work, and neuroscience-informed approaches such as neurofeedback. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all; our work is shaped around your goals, your history, and the evidence-based interventions that are most indicated for your benefit.
Clients often describe our work as thoughtful, grounded, and purposeful. I balance warmth with accountability and gentle challenge, helping you explore underlying patterns while also building tools you can use in real life. Whether we’re processing past experiences, strengthening emotional regulation, or navigating current stressors, our work is always oriented toward meaningful, sustainable change.
Experience and training
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified Neurofeedback Practitioner (BCN) with years of experience providing therapy, coaching and neurofeedback services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across residential, day treatment, and outpatient settings. Most recently I served as the Director of Neurofeedback and a Lead Therapist within a multi-office private practice, where I was also responsible for developing and expanding Neurofeedback programming, our brick and mortar footprint, and offering clinical training.
In addition to my clinical work, I regularly guest lecture at schools, universities, hospitals, businesses, and treatment facilities as well as provide mentorship and training to other professionals in the areas of Neurofeedback, leadership, and trauma-informed care. My background allows me to integrate scientific rigor with a deeply human, relational approach to therapy.
